This event is free and open to the public. Please join Krewe du Kanaval in Congo Square for an afternoon of music, dance, food, and drinks.
Food vendors in the square include Fritai and Afrodisiac
Schedule:
2:00pm Congo Square open to the public
3:00PM Krewe arrives in Congo Square for welcome ceremony and crowning of royalty
3:30pm procession through the park begins
5:00pm closing ceremony and performance at Congo Square
Performers include:
King of Kanaval DJ Jubilee and Queen Leah Chase
Krewe Members are welcome to kick off the day with refreshments at One Eyed Jack’s in the French Quarter to prepare for the afternoon’s procession.
Krewe Members are invited to join us at Latrobe’s on Royal for an evening of dancing and refreshments with musical guests Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots and DJ Cosmo from Paris.
